Private lessons from Stitched Co. are tailored for beginners and anyone wanting clearer guidance through their sewing projects and skills. Each lesson can either take place at my location or, to make things more comfortable, I can come to you. No sewing equipment or tool? no stress at all! I will bring a machine, some tools, fabric, and a work book to follow along with for what you need.

Each private or group lesson you book will be completely catered to you and your goals. nothing is off limits, all you have to do is ask.

  • One-on-one attention: lessons designed to match your pace, learning style and goals.

  • Start lessons with clear milestones and practical takeaways each session.

  • Clear foundations: sewing machine setup, fabric selection, measuring and cutting, basic stitches, seams, hems and finishing.

  • Project-based learning: choose small garments, alterations or homewares to build confidence while producing something useful.

  • Troubleshooting and technique refinement: learn how to diagnose fit and construction issues and apply fixes.

  • Pattern reading and adjustments: understand patterns, sizing and simple alterations to achieve better fit.

  • Safety and maintenance: correct machine use, needle and thread choices, and basic machine care.

  • finishing or completion of a project you’ve been stuck on for wayyyyyyyy too long.

What to expect

Lesson structure and options - 1 on 1

  • Single 60-minute session: focused on one skill or short project.

  • Block of 4 × 60-minute sessions: recommended for steady progress and completing a project.

  • Block of 8 × 60-minute sessions: ideal for comprehensive learning from basics through a finished garment.

  • Flexible scheduling: morning, evening and weekend times available.

  • No rescheduling fee

Lesson structure and options - Group sewing session

  • Block of 3 hours on a day of your choosing

  • Groups must have between 4-6 people

  • Tools, fabrics, threads, instructions, and other items needed are included

  • Additional fee’s apply for machine hire for those who need it (confirm in consultation)

  • Larger groups of more than 6 people (i.e for a kids party or friends group) will be completely catered to with the goal of having a finished item by the end. These sessions aren’t just limited to sewing……we can embroider, or crochet. We even have a “Sip ‘n’ Stitch” service where we yap and cross stitch! Click here for more info.

  • During our consultation, we will discuss what tools are needed and what you and your group would like to work on/make. Additional costs may incur only if extra sewing machines are needed.

  • A 20% deposit must be paid to secure your spot and to confirm booking. This is non-refundable

  • No rescheduling fee

Pricing

Single session

  • $70 per 60 minute session

  • $20 fee for every 30 minutes overtime

  • Book 4 sessions and receive 10% off ($63 p/class)

  • Book 8 sessions and receive 15% off ($59.50 per class)

Session blocks must be paid for to receive discount. If you would like to book a block of session and may need financial assistance, contact us here

Group sessions

  • $ 60 pp - Groups must be between 4-6 people

  • Additional $15 for machine hire

  • $50 fee for every hour overtime

  • Sip ‘n’ Stitch parties are also available

    A 20% deposit must be paid to secure the date and is non-refundable. Group sessions must be paid for in full 2 weeks before the booking to purchase supplies.

How do I book a lesson?

  1. Book an initial consultation via our contact us page and organise a 15 minute call to discuss goals, experience and projects.

  2. Pick a date and a location that suits you

  3. If I’m coming out to you, we will discuss what tools I need to bring to help the lesson run smoothly

  4. You’ll then be sent the link for booking to pay. If you decide to book a 4 session block, as stated above, you will receive a 10% discount off the cost of the 4 sessions*

*10% discount does not apply to any overtime costs
